Reviewing 2023 and Sharing Plans for 2024

We strive daily to make the platform even more powerful and user-friendly. We want to make communication even more transparent, accessible, and useful for our users. In this article, we will discuss the main achievements of ATAS in the past year, as well as our plans for 2024:

Top 5 ATAS Features in 2023

Heatmap

The heatmap expanded the capabilities of working with DOM Trader and DOM Levels indicators. It intuitively displays activity in the DOM for a specified period — the brighter the level on the chart, the larger the volume of limit orders placed on it. Advantages of the heatmap:

• it enables you to reveal the intentions of major players;
• it enables you to scalp and look for precise entry/exit points;
• it is available in Market Replay mode;
• it has flexible settings for color schemes, contrast, etc.;
• it renders smoothly with beautiful gradients.

Global Drawing Objects

You can add graphical objects to all charts of the active instrument with just one click and control them simultaneously. Any changes are instantly synchronized. This option is available for all graphical objects except for Market Profile and Long/Short Positions.

New Graphical Objects

In addition to lines, Fibonacci elements, and other familiar drawing objects, the platform introduced new tools:

• Anchored VWAP for drawing VWAP lines. You can enable deviations and set their parameters in its settings.
• Anchored Market Profile replicates the volume profile for a specific section of the chart.
• Dynamic POC — analogous to the Dynamic Levels indicator. In the settings, you can also enable the display of maximum volume values.
• CVD correlation — an alternative to Cumulative Delta. This object draws cumulative delta, adjusted to the price axis, which facilitates visual analysis. 

Following Manager

The main task of the ATAS copier is to simplify simultaneous work with multiple accounts. The module operates in two modes:

• Order copying: you place an order on the main provider account, and all actions are transferred to the other follower accounts without position synchronization.
• Position copying: positions on the provider account are synchronized with positions on the follower accounts.

The module comes with flexible settings and provides a detailed report on the status of synchronized accounts with the ability to close positions in one click.

Updated TPO Market Profile

Combine multiple periods into one! For example, you can combine profiles for several days and wait for the price to return to check nodes with high and low volumes (peaks and valleys).

In addition to the functions described above, we tried to make the platform interface even more convenient: 

• we increased the playback speed of trading history in Replay from x50 to x1000;
• we updated the favorite tool of scalpers, DOM Trader (Scalping DOM) — we added a quick launch button to the chart window and equipped the module with a heatmap;
• we introduced new buttons for quick access to indicators in the Chart module and minimized the indicator window;
• we simplified the top chart menu by relocating Chart Trader to the lower right corner of the chart window;
• the accounts tab now includes a button to go to online statistics ATAS Sim, making it easier for you to track quantitative indicators of the account, detailed information on conducted trades, and the balance movement chart. Statistics for Crypto SIM are coming soon.

Development

In 2023, 4537 changes were made to the platform’s code. Each change represents an improvement — from fixing a bug or minor optimization to a significant expansion of the useful functionality of the ATAS platform. We released 266 platform updates: 195 Alpha, 52 Beta, and 19 Latest versions.  Simultaneously, we completed the transition to the modern .NET 7.0 engine from Microsoft, which made ATAS operate faster. However, we do not stop there and are already working on transitioning to .NET 8.0. We also added a more advanced rendering system based on OpenGL + Skia and Vortice DirectX:

• charts are drawn faster, they smoothly scale without visual artifacts;
• CPU load decreased, consequently increasing the overall software performance.

One of our main priorities is to make the platform even more stable. To achieve this, we have planned to improve the server infrastructure and testing algorithms after every minor change in the ATAS code. This way, we can identify and fix potential errors much faster. Additionally, our plans for 2024 include implementing DirectX support and history loading for the heatmap, connecting cloud services to save settings and workspaces, sending notifications, and more. Connectors

We expanded the list of cryptocurrency markets available in ATAS. Currently, you can trade cryptocurrencies on the following exchanges: Binance, Bitfinex, Bitget, BitMEX, Bybit, OKX, Phemex, Whitebit.  Last year, we also implemented a new API for the Bybit connector and connected SPOT. Our plans for 2024 include transitioning the Bitget, MT5, and other connectors to new APIs.  Moreover, the development of cryptocurrency instruments is one of the key priorities for ATAS this year. We plan to add support for new cryptocurrency exchanges and expand the range of tools for cryptocurrency market analysis.

Website and Personal Area

We aim to create a comprehensive ecosystem that enables traders to focus on trading and achieving their goals:

• The ATAS platform provides an unlimited range of trading opportunities for stocks, futures, and cryptocurrencies thanks to its unique set of features and indicators.
• The website offers all the necessary information about the platform’s tools, tariffs, and partnership options, as well as useful articles analyzing tools and trading strategies.

• The Personal Area serves as a unified dashboard where you can manage tariff plans, profile settings, and email subscriptions, keep track of new useful articles and videos, develop your own indicators, and even become an ATAS partner to generate additional income not only from trading on the exchange.

In 2023, we paid attention to every component of the ATAS ecosystem. The homepage and tariff page of the website underwent a redesign, making them more modern and user-friendly. Additionally, we introduced a separate page for future ATAS partners — here, you can see the benefits of our referral program and determine how suitable it is for you.  Speaking our clients’ language is important to us, so in addition to the existing 6 localizations, we added Ukrainian and Chinese versions of the website. We updated the Personal Area interface, making it faster and more responsive. Additionally, we introduced a screenshot gallery: you can take screenshots within the platform and save them in the gallery to easily share links to images with fellow traders or ATAS support at any time. Another new section in the Personal Area is the ‘Developer’s personal account’. Here, you can expand ATAS’s tool collection with your own indicator or automated strategy. Then, you can use the custom tool as you wish: apply it personally to enhance trading performance, share it with other traders, or even offer it for sale to generate additional income. All you need is a great trading idea and basic knowledge of C#. If you do not have programming skills yet, you can always order a unique indicator or trading robot from our partner developers. Furthermore, you now have the option to set up auto-renewal for ATAS subscriptions using any payment method. Use the platform’s potential to the fullest without being distracted by the need for manual renewals!

Support

We aim for every user to have a real opportunity to influence the development of the ATAS platform and website! That is why we launched the ATAS Ideas Dashboard — a space where you can share your vision for optimizing and adding new features. Here, you can also vote for other users’ ideas, monitor the progress of their implementation, and subscribe to updates. In 2023, we expanded the support team and raised customer service quality standards. Over the past year, our specialists assisted thousands of users in configuring the platform settings: we closed over 14,900 tickets and more than 29,800 chats. Learning

We realize that mastering the trading and analytical platform ATAS, like any professional tool, can be a challenging task. Therefore, we aim to make it as easy as possible for beginners. We added a new section to the platform called ‘Learn’. Here, you will find ready-made templates for basic ATAS tools, as well as a selection of useful articles conveniently organized by topic. We promise to continue filling the section with new step-by-step instructions, educational videos, and books that will help you master volume analysis, unlock the platform’s potential, and increase trading profitability.

If you have questions about configuring a specific tool, you can always refer to the Knowledge Base. We tirelessly work to keep our reference materials up to date, and in 2024, we aim to fully synchronize the Knowledge Base with the indicators and drawing objects in the platform — if the tool you are interested in is updated, the corresponding article will automatically receive a fresh description. Learning to trade independently is great, but tips from trading experts will significantly accelerate your progress. Last year, we launched a series of live webinars in English, and German featuring experienced traders specializing in volume analysis in ATAS. In the near future, we plan to expand the webinar program to help beginners structure their knowledge and adapt to the platform more quickly and to help professionals find new ideas for improving their strategies.

Communication

Our mission is not just to provide traders with advanced tools for analysis and trading, but to create a community where everyone can achieve success. The key to this lies in expanding knowledge and improving skills in working with ATAS.  In just the past year, we published:

• 125 articles in our blog featuring working strategies, tool analysis, and market theory explanations;
• over 210 videos on our YouTube channels providing step-by-step instructions on using the platform;
• more than 1300 posts with valuable tips and examples on real charts.

ATAS aims to expand the trading community. In early 2024, we launched separate Telegram channels with useful articles and tips on configuring the platform for German- and Spanish-speaking audiences.  We would like to remind you that we have a Telegram discussion group where you can ask questions about tool configuration, discuss current market events, and share your ideas and strategies with other platform users.
